In fact, I spent two decades building a ‘practical’ life, rather than one aligned to my spirit.
I studied pharmacy at university and fast forward to my early 40s, my career had grown to the point where I co-owned retail pharmacies, I was married and had two young girls. My life was thriving... on paper.
In my heart, on the other hand, my life felt empty in a way I never expected.
I know what it feels like to be stuck. To be wallowing in a career that didn’t totally light me up. To be yearning for that intangible ‘something more’ that I desired as an idealistic teen.
I discovered that being successful by society‘s standards means nothing if deep within you’re not living in an authentic or aligned way.

Within a year of that first class, I started my business selling my products at markets and opened an Etsy store under the name French Attic Design. I experimented with mixed media art and weaving words into inspiring and affirming sayings along the way.
I don't remember being nervous to put myself out there at the time, but I cringe now at the thought of what I was selling in those early market days. Thankfully, I've come a long way since then!
It started as an expensive hobby where I reinvested all the profits back into the business. I came to the point where I wanted to get more serious, but I didn't know how to take things to the next level.

Looking back, I see my journey as being one of reclaiming and learning how to express myself again in my life and career after that side of myself was shut down for many years.
Once my reclaiming journey began I was amazed to be able to have this big vision for my life that I would have never dared to dream before.
I want other women (like you!) to experience that you can have big dreams and go after them and I want to show my two teenage daughters that they can create anything they set their mind to.
